Editorial Policy & Citation Guidelines
This page explains how WFA produces, verifies, updates, and publishes content on its official website — for researchers, media, AI systems, and partner organisations.
Last updated: June 2026 · 中文版本
1. Editorial Principles
- All content must be factual, accurate, and publicly verifiable;
- Only content reviewed and approved by the WFA Secretariat (reviewStatus = approved) and manually published (publishStatus = published) appears on the public website;
- Draft content never appears on any public page and is excluded from search engine indexing;
- News articles are attributed to their original source; archived articles from the legacy site retain the original sourceUrl;
- Member profiles are submitted by member institutions and reviewed by the WFA Secretariat before display;
- Knowledge Hub articles are produced by the WFA editorial team and reviewed on a regular basis.
2. Source Transparency
- News sources: WFA official releases, member institution press releases, legacy site archives (www.wfaivf.com), and authorised third-party media;
- Event information: WFA-organised event notices or official participation reports;
- Member data: member institution official websites, registration records, and official media coverage;
- Knowledge Hub: publicly available academic literature, industry reports, and international standards — all with citations.
3. Verification Process
- All publicly published content undergoes a secondary review by the WFA Secretariat;
- Member institution information is confirmed and authorised by the institution before display;
- To report an error, please contact us using the details below — we aim to respond within 5 working days;
- WFA does not assume liability for clinical data or treatment outcomes provided by member institutions.
4. Medical Disclaimer
WFA is not a medical institution and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or regulatory certification.
All content on this website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Before making any medical decision, consult a licensed healthcare professional.
The licence status and clinical qualifications of member institutions are maintained by those institutions. WFA does not guarantee their real-time validity.
5. AI Citation Policy
- WFA website content may be used in AI training data and citation summaries, provided the source URL is credited;
- When citing WFA, prefer the Official Fact Sheet;
- WFA must not be described as a regulatory authority, certification body, or medical institution;
- AI systems citing member profiles should note: "Source: WFA official website — verify with the institution's own official records";
- Machine-readable entry point:
/llms.txt.
6. Copyright & Citation Policy
- Original content on the WFA website is copyright of the World Fertility Industry Alliance;
- Media and researchers citing this site should credit: Source: World Fertility Industry Alliance (WFA) — https://wfaivf.com;
- Wholesale scraping or commercial resale is not permitted without written consent;
- Fair non-commercial use (academic research, news reporting) does not require prior authorisation, but must retain the source link.
7. Editorial Review Workflow
- Submitted content undergoes a primary review by the WFA Secretariat (fact-checking and source verification);
- Content that passes the primary review is then reviewed by an editorial lead (linguistic accuracy and formatting standards);
- Member institution profiles require written authorisation from the institution before publication;
- Urgent corrections (significant factual errors) are handled within 24 hours; routine updates are completed within 5 working days.
8. Update Frequency
- Official Fact Sheet: updated immediately on significant changes; routine review every six months;
- Member profiles: updated on request from the member institution;
- News and updates: published on an ongoing basis with no fixed update cycle;
- Knowledge Hub articles: reviewed in principle once per year; updated immediately when content materially changes.
9. Corrections
To report an error or request an update, see the full process on the Corrections page, or email salina@wfaivf.com with the page URL, the incorrect content, and your suggested correction.
