Americas Chapter

The World Fertility Association (WFA) is preparing the Americas Chapter and invites partners across the industry to advance assisted reproductive medicine in the region.

Regional context

Favourable legal and policy environment: Several jurisdictions in the Americas, notably surrogacy-friendly U.S. states, offer well-defined legal frameworks for assisted reproduction and gestational surrogacy, providing clarity and confidence for intended parents.

Globally leading clinical technology: The Americas have long been at the forefront of assisted reproductive medicine. Widespread adoption of IVF, IUI, embryo transfer and third-generation IVF with PGT supports higher success rates and reduces miscarriage and birth-defect risks.

Strong market demand: Later marriage and parenthood, professional pressures and reproductive rights expectations from LGBTQ+ individuals and single parents continue to drive demand for assisted reproductive services across the region.

Chapter mission

  • Promote technical exchange and cooperation through regional symposia and training
  • Strengthen industry standards and quality through certification frameworks and oversight
  • Develop and attract talent through professional training programs and expert exchange
  • Expand international cooperation across the Americas and other WFA regions

Who we invite

  • Assisted reproductive medical institutions and reproductive medicine departments across the Americas
  • Experts and scholars in reproductive medicine, genetics and embryology
  • Companies providing assisted-reproduction products, consulting, training and management services
  • Other partners committed to advancing assisted reproductive medicine in the Americas
